Former Olympic gold medalist, and current TNA professional wrestling heavy-weight champion, Kurt Angle arrested today near Pittsburgh for an incident involving his girlfriend.
The pro-wrestler charged with harassment, possession of drugs and paraphernalia, and for driving with a suspended license has denied the charges through his attorney. Kurt Angle’s girlfriend called police after claiming that Angle was stalking her after he was served with an Order of Protection on Saturday.
According to police, a few days ago there was an altercation between Kurt and his live in girlfriend Trenesha Biggers, who wrestles under the name Rhaka Khan. After getting beat up, Trenesha called police – who removed Kurt from their home. She also went to the police station and got an order of protection out against Kurt.
But that didn’t stop him. At around 8AM yesterday, Trenesha called police again - claiming that Angle was stalking her. She was Starbucks using the internet, and Kurt came in – and snatched her phone. He then began driving around the Starbucks parking lot in circles while he was deleting pictures from Trenesha’s phone. Those pictures documented the abuse Trenesha suffered at the hands of her wrestler boyfriend.
This isn’t the first run in with the law for Angle. Kurt Angle was arrested last year for driving under the influence but was acquitted of those charges. He is scheduled to participate in a pay-per-view this week to “defend” his heavyweight title. If you can’t sense the sarcasm then just take my word for it when I tell you I’m being sarcastic.
Kurt Angle is currently the heavy-weight champion of TNA Wresting and his girlfriend is a fellow TNA wrestler. She is not named in the news reports. Angle, through his attorney has denied all of the charges and claims that he will be exonerated completely.
