adidas Battle Over Marcus Jordan's Feet

Marcus Jordan Puts UCF $1.9 million contract in jeopardy over wearing his father’s Nike Air Jordan shoes, according to the Chicago Tribune. Marcus Jordan is the 18 year old son of the Legendary NBA superstar, Michael Jordan.

They report that the UCF promised Marcus that he would be able to wear the Nike Air Jordan brand of shoes for the Knights’ basketball team this season.

The University of Central Florida, Marcus Jordan’s current school, have a contract with Adidas; however, Marcus Jordan has obviously wore Jordan sneakers most, if not all of his life. It has been stated that Marcus will honor UCF’s contract with Adidas by wearing the Adidas apparel; yet, he will not partake in wearing Adidas sneakers on the court.

UCF athletic director Keith Tribble stated that Marcus has the right to choose for himself seeing that a previous instance occurred with a football player deciding to wear a different brand sneaker due to the fit. On the contrary, adidas spokesperson Andrea Corso has confirmed that adidas and UCF have no agreement on the table at press time.

Marcus said that Adidas told him it wouldn’t be a problem. He stated, “When I was being recruited, we talked about it. They said they had talked to the Adidas people and it wasn’t going to be a problem. I think everybody understands how big of a deal it is for my family.”

With that said, do you think Marcus Jordan should be able to wear Jordan sneakers or do you feel that he has to respect the school’s contract with adidas totally?

balloon boy

Great news! CNN is reporting that the famed Balloon Boy, Falcon Heene, has been found and is safely at home. Falcon Heene is alive and unharmed.

Heene had reportedly climbed aboard his father's homemade aircraft and taken to the skies, leading authorities on a Colorado-wide chase. Turns out, though, he was at home the whole time, ashamed that he had let the balloon go.

The boy and his family -- father Richard Heene, mother Mayumi and brother Ryo and Brandon -- were on ABC's "Wife Swap" twice, most recently for the show's 100th episode in which they reswapped. The family was painted as "science-obsessed."

More than two hours after the balloon gently touched down in a field with no sign of the boy, Sheriff Jim Alderden turned to reporters during a news conference, gave a thumbs up and said 6-year-old Falcon Heene was "at the house."

Here’s a refresher if you missed the action — this clip covers the balloon landing before the boy was found obviously! What did you think??
