WLKY in Louisville has released the infamous Karen Sypher police tapes where she talks about getting an abortion, threats against her family, and the like.
Karen Sypher is the woman accusing Louisville University head basketball coach Rick Pitino of raping her at a restaurant in 2003.
The Louisville Metro Police released the tapes today, even though they have refused to charge Pitino with the crime, with prosecutor David Stengel stating Karen Sypher’s claims were “void of credibility.”
In the tapes, Sypher details allegations she made against University of Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino.
In the videotaped complaint filed with police by Sypher, she claims Pitino forced her into having sex, alleging it happened in August 2003 at Porcini's in Crescent Hill after everyone had left the restaurant.
Sypher also alleges she was attacked a second time by Pitino.
WLKY has also obtained recordings of phone conversations Sypher had with investigators.
