john mayer mugshot
When will John Mayer learn?
Either in a moment of stupidity or a need for publicity, Mayer took to Twitter early this morning to reveal his criminal past.
John Mayer issued a challenge to TMZ’s Harvey Levin via Twitter:
”if Harvey Levin at TMZ can produce my mugshot, I will donate 25k to the *charity of his choice.”
"I was arrested for the same offense as Patrick Stump," Mayer tweeted about the Fall Out Boy singer who was arrested Tuesday on a two-year-old warrant for driving without a valid license. "It's the lamest answer to the question "why you in here?"
Mayer was arrested in Atlanta on May 26, 2001, for driving on a suspended license. The case was dismissed a month later on June 26.
However,The Smoking Gun beat TMZ to the punch by mere minutes, posting Mayer’s mug shot at 3:03 p.m. TMZ followed moments later, posting the photo at 3:10 p.m. Both sites received the photo from an administrative assistant with the Atlanta Department of Corrections.
So, to whom does Mayer owe the $25,000? The challenge was directly issued to Levin, but TSG posted it first. What do you think? Who should get the money?
Time to pay up, John.
