NASCAR race car driver Johnny Benson had a serious crash at the Berlin Raceway Saturday June 13, 2009. After Johnny Benson's #21 car collided with Larry Lehnert #92 car, Benson's car burst into flames.He is still in Spectrum Butterworth Hospital and no release dates has been set yet.
Johnny Benson is currently listed in serious condition and he is expected to make a recovery. Larry Lehnert was not injured in the crash.
It isn’t clear if Benson’s family was in the stands at the time, but either way it must be terrifying for daughters Mikayla and Katelyn to know that their father was involved in such a horrific crash.
Our thoughts are with the entire family, and we wish a swift recovery for Benson.
