Speaking of other shoes to drop, the State newspaper down in South Carolina has published a series of emails between Gov. Mark Sanford and the woman in Argentina with whom he had an affair.

The woman, identified only as “Maria,” was approached today by reporters of the same newspaper, but she refused to make any declarations. The emails presented date back from a year ago, perhaps the beginning stages of the affair. These emails are extremely cheese. Here are some extracts:

“One, tomorrow leave at 5 a.m. for New York and meetings. Will think about you on its streets and wish I was going to be there later in the month when you are there. Tomorrow night back to Philadelphia for the start of the National Governor's Conference through the weekend. Back to Columbia for Tuesday and then on Wednesday, as I think I had told you, taking the family to China, Tibet, Nepal, India, Thailand and then back through Hong Kong on world wind tour. Few days home then to Bahamas for 5 days on a friend’s boat for the last break of the summer. The following weekend have been asked to spend it out in Aspen, Colorado with McCain - which has kicked up the whole VP talk all over again in the press back home ...

Now that cat is out of the bag. Governor Mark Sanford who disappeared last week was having an affair with an Argentine mistress named Maria everyone wants to know, and pictures everyone wants to see, and which we will soon have and you will soon see.

For four days staff, friends, family and foe were unable to locate Governor Sanford. His office finally resolved that he was hiking on as Appalachian trail when inquiring minds wanted to know, but exactly where on that remote trail was unknown.

The woman at centre of South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford affair lives on Republica de la India in the Palermo neighborhood of Buenos Aires and is of Argentian nationality, reports say

The woman lives on the 14th floor of an apartment building at the upscale Palermo district, across from the Buenos Aires Zoo.

The woman at the centre of the South Carolina Governor affair has yet to be named, but appears she lives in an upscale area of Buenos Aires and has two sons.

One of Sanford’s email messages read:

Suddenly Sanford appeared at the airport on a return flight from South America. He said that he was not on a soul-cleansing hike and hastily arranged a press conference for June 24th, 2009. During the press conference he admitted to an affair with an Argentina woman which has lasted a year.
