Eva Longoria's NBC Dating Series 'Ready for Love'
The new dating show executive produced and hosted by Eva Longoria was supposed to be NBC's next great hope. Instead, Tuesday's premiere bombed big time -- and that was with the singing smash "The Voice" as a lead-in.
Though it benefited from both heavy promotion and having The Voice as a lead-in, the Peacock’s new dating show Ready for Love seems fairly dead on arrival. Its two-hour series premiere was the lowest-rated program in both the 9 and 10 p.m. time slots last night, earning just 3.8 million viewers and a 1.6 rating among adults 18-49. (To be fair, the show did beat Smash‘s last-Tuesday episode, which garnered 3.0 million viewers and a .9 demo rating.)
The series, which will be executive produced by the former Desperate Housewives star, has tapped Amber Kelleher-Andrews, Tracy McMillan and Matthew Hussey as matchmakers, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.
Kelleher-Andrews is the CEO of Kelleher International, a search firm credited with matching Fortune 500 CEOs and A-list celebrities as well as members of the British royal family and Rockefellers.
To put those numbers in perspective: "Ready for Love" held on to a measly 28% of "The Voice's" audience. That means nearly three-quarters of viewers fled when they realized what was on.
Giuliana and Bill Rancic will host the series, which is set to debut in winter 2012-13.
"These are three of the best relationship experts in the world, each coming to the show with their own unique approaches to matchmaking and fostering healthy, long-lasting relationships," NBC Entertainment alternative and late-night programming president Paul Telegdy said. "The chances of the men finding true love are infinitely better because the matchmakers hand-selected women they feel will be most compatible with each of the guys.”

Brandi Chastain’s Bra

If you want to see the bra alive again, leave $250 in unmarked bills at the enclosed location. No tricks. Bra will be shipped within 5-7 business days.
The black sports bra that was worn by Bandi Chastain during the 1999 World Cup has been taken into custody by a U.S. Bankruptcy court. The Wall Street Journal is reporting that the Sports Museum of America has declared bankruptcy.
"The black sports undergarment she famously exposed to the world after a game-winning goal in the 1999 World Cup had been taken into custody by U.S. bankruptcy court. To secure its release from a storage facility in Newark, N.J., Ms. Chastain would have to pay $250 -- plus shipping. "Thank goodness I have another one," she jokes."
$250 plus shipping, for a sweaty old bra in this economy. I wouldn't pay 1 dollar for that. If I were Brandi I would tell them to keep it. I wonder where they get the balls to ask for money for items that have been donated?
Several celebrity sports items were grabbed in the bankruptcy case, among them Tony Hawk's childhood skateboard and Richard Petty's sunglasses. They had all been on loan to New York's Sports Museum of America, which recently declared Chapter 7 bankruptcy. If the celebrities don't claim them, they'll be auctioned. Hawk is not amused. And he ain't getting his board back like this.

Martina Navratilova's Ex-Lover Threatens
Martina Navratilova may have a scandal on her hands. The pro tennis player’s longtime lover, Toni Layton, has been threatening to air Navratilova’s proverbial dirty laundry if she doesn’t receive a bigger split settlement. The women were together for eight years and Layton claims she had an integral impact on the course of Navratilova’s career, which has earned the Wimbledon winner millions
Martina Navratilova wants a monetary settlement she considers fair, or else she will reveal the tennis legend’s deepest secrets, reports the New York Post.
"There are a lot of skeletons in Martina's closet,” Toni Layton told the Page Six gossip sheet. “It is more like a storage facility full of them, and I know them all,” she said.
Said Layton’s lawyer, "Layton was offered a measly, flat $200,000 for eight long years of 24/7 work and support for the enrichment and betterment of [a] multimillionaire athlete. The offer was an insult. Navratilova is using Florida’s failure to recognize gay marriage to her advantage."
Thus, says Layton, she deserves more than the $200,000 Navratilova offered her when they broke up. If she doesn’t receive additional funds, Layton has promised to spread Navratilova’s secrets, she told the New York Post: "There are a lot of skeletons in Martina’s closet. It is more like a storage facility full of them, and I know them all." Layton’s lawyers insist that she’s not a gold digger; they are simply taking a stand for gay rights.
Layton left her husband for Navratilova, and the couple lived together in Florida.
“Navratilova is using Florida's failure to recognize gay marriage to her advantage,” said Layton’s spokesperson, Gary Flack.
"We are standing up for gay rights in this case," said Raymond Rafool, the lawyer for Layton. "Toni has the right to obtain a fair settlement the same as if she were the spouse in a traditional marriage."
A spokesperson for Navratilova had no comment.

Bar Refaeli and Leonardo DiCaprio: Not Engaged
Leonardo DiCaprio and Bar Refaeli are not walking down the aisle any time soon. After stirring up wedding rumors during a Sunday afternoon bike ride, reps have confirmed that Leonardo DiCaprio and Bar Refaeli are not engaged to be married.
As previously reported, the “Titanic” stud and his Victoria’s Secret beauty were spotted tooling around Beverly Hills on Leo’s sport bike yesterday (March 29), with Miss Refaeli exposing a gold ring on her left-hand ring finger.
"No -- he and Bar are not married and not engaged," a DiCaprio pal tells Usmagazine.com. Photos taken on Sunday in Beverly Hills show the Sports Illustrated cover model, 23, wearing a simple gold band on her ring finger.
"It was just a ring she was wearing on that finger," the friend adds.
That doesn't mean the actor, 34, never wants to wed.
"I want to get married and have children," DiCaprio told Parade magazine last October. "I absolutely believe in marriage."
The couple took a brief break last fall, but reconciled in December and have been together every since.
In a new Vanity Fair interview, Gisele Bundchen calls DiCaprio -- whom she dated for five years -- a "wonderful person."
"We still speak sometimes, and I'm friends with his mom. He still has one of my dogs," says Bundchen, who wed Tom Brady in February. "We were very young, and we grew together in a lot of ways. We were just not meant to be boyfriend and girlfriend, but I respect him enormously, and I wish him nothing but the best."
And though they’re not yet ready to tie the knot, that doesn’t mean that wedded bliss isn’t the cards. Leo previously told press, “I want to get married and have children. I absolutely believe in marriage.”Other hot stories:

Lindsay Lohan and Sam Ronson: Smoking Sweeties
Looking ever the happy celebrity couple, Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson puffed away on their cigarettes as they left Cicconi’s in West Hollywood on last Saturday,28 March 2009. During the whole day, the “Mean Girls” starlet also found time to fit in a little shopping, as she dropped by the local Maxfields during a solo outing.
It seems that Miss Lohan gave former “Just My Luck” co-star Chris Pine tips on dealing with stardom ahead of the release of the new “Star Trek” movie, in which he plays Captain Kirk.
“It’s like being with The Beatles. It’s mind boggling. You hear the whispers, then the whispers become gaggles of people, then the gaggles of people becomes masses of people, and they bring the paparazzi and then everything becomes crazy. If Lindsay was drinking water, people would say: ‘Why is she drinking water?’. But she said to me: ‘Anyone in my position has asked for the attention’. And I think that’s true, but I can’t imagine that kind of fame." Said Pine to the press.source:celebrity-gossip
